MINUTES OF A MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF COUNCIL OF THE
Mayor
Mary Brown called the meeting of City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. on January
2, 2007. The Clerk called the roll and
the following Councilmembers were present:
Barb Runge, Jim Doepker, Barbara Thompson Levine, Eric Haas, Roger
Peterman and Tom Lampe. Staff members in
attendance included: City Administrative
Officer Don Martin, City Clerk Melissa Kelly, Finance Director Fred Ewald,
Police Chief Mike Daly, and Fire Chief Mark Bailey. Absent, City Attorney Jann Seidenfaden.
Mayor Brown led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
Minutes
The Minutes of the December 18, 2006 Special Council Meeting and the minutes of the Public Safety Committee Meeting were presented to Council for consideration. Mr. Lampe made a motion to approve both sets of minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Runge. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0.
Finance Committee Vouchers
The Finance Committee presented its report on Vouchers and recommended the payment of disbursements for the period of December 18, 2006 – January 2, 2007. A motion was made by Mr. Doepker to concur in the recommendation of the Finance Committee. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lampe. Upon call of the roll, the following members voted “aye” – Mrs. Runge, Mr. Doepker, Mrs. Levine, Mr. Haas, Mr. Peterman and Mr. Lampe. Voting “no” – none. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0.
Ordinances, Resolutions,
and Orders
Ordinance O-1-2007, an ordinance establishing the date and time for City Council meetings was presented for a first reading and will be deferred to the next regular Council Meeting for consideration.
There being no further business to come before Council, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
