MINUTES OF A
SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF
COUNCIL OF THE
Mayor Pro-Tem, Barb Runge called the special meeting of City Council to order at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006. Upon call of the roll, the following councilmembers were present, Barb Runge, James Doepker, Karen Lied, Eric Haas, and Tom Lampe. Absent, Roger Peterman. Other staff members attending were, Donald Martin, City Administrative Officer, and Melissa Kelly, City Clerk.
The purpose of the special meeting was to give a second reading to Ordinance O-23-2006. The ordinance is to amend the Official Zoning Ordinance being Ordinance O-4-2002, enacted on February 4, 2002, Article X, Section 10.14, to allow studios for professional work or teaching of any form of fine arts, photography, music, drama, and dance.
There was some time sensitivity involved with a business opening as advertised and it was the consensus of Council at the Tuesday, September 5th meeting to have this special meeting.
With that, a motion was made by Mr. Lampe to adopt Ordinance O-23-2006. It was seconded by Mr. Doepker. Upon call of the roll, the following members voted “aye”; Mrs. Runge, Mr. Doepker, Mrs. Lied, Mr. Haas, Mr. Lampe. Voting “no”; none. Motion carried.
With no other business to go before Council, the meeting was adjourned.
