MUNICIPAL ORDER MO-03-2009

 

A MUNICIPAL ORDER DECLARING CITY-OWNED PERSONAL PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO PUBLICLY SOLICIT SEALED BIDS FOR THEIR SALE.

 

            WHEREAS, the Board of Council of the City of Fort Thomas, Campbell County, Kentucky, in accordance with the provisions of KRS 82.083 and KRS 45A.365, hereby makes the following findings:

 

1.        The Board of Council has determined that it is in the public interest for the City to declare the following personal property as surplus:

·        (52) 5 ft. diameter wooden banquet tables

·        (6) 6 ft. diameter wooden banquet tables

·        (4) ½ round wooden display tables

·        (23) 8 ft. length wooden cafeteria tables

·        (189) Standard metal folding chairs

·        (87) Molded plastic/metal from non-stackable cafeteria style chairs

and;

2.        The intended purpose of the property described herein at the time of initial purchase was for furnishing the Community Center as meeting space and for rental purposes; and

3.        The personal property described herein has been replaced with new, and more functional, personal property of similar configuration; and

4.        The method of disposition of this personal property shall be the solicitation of sealed bids, pursuant to KRS 82.083(3)(e) and KRS 45A.365 (3) and (4).

 

and;

 

            WHEREAS, if the city receives no bids for the personal property described herein, the property may be disposed of, consistent with public interest, in any manner deemed appropriate by the city; and 

 

WHEREAS, any compensation resulting from the disposal of the personal property described herein shall be transferred to the general fund of the city.  

 

 

            Adopted by the Board of Council on March 30, 2009.
