MUNICIPAL ORDER MO-04-2009

 

A MUNICIPAL ORDER DECLARING CITY-OWNED PERSONAL PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER TO TRANSFER, WITH OR WITHOUT COMPENSATION, TO ANOTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY.

 

            WHEREAS, the Board of Council of the City of Fort Thomas, Campbell County, Kentucky, in accordance with the provisions of KRS 82.083 and KRS 45A.365, hereby makes the following findings:

 

1.        The Board of Council has determined that it is in the public interest for the City to declare the following personal property as surplus:

 

·        2 1/2 inch  Fire Hose           50 ft./section          15 sections

·        3 inch Fire Hose     100 ft./section        7 sections

·        3 inch Fire Hose                 50 ft./section           13 sections

·        1 3/4 inch  Fire Hose          50 ft./section            6 sections

·         1 3/4 inch  Fire Hose          100 ft./section       1 section

 

and;

2.        The intended purpose of the property described herein at the time of initial purchase was for firefighting practices; and

3.        The personal property described herein has been replaced with new, and more functional, personal property of similar configuration; and

4.        The method of disposition of this personal property shall be transferred, with or without compensation, to another governmental agency, pursuant to KRS 82.083(3)(e) and KRS 45A.365 (3) and (4).

 

and;

 

            WHEREAS, the property shall be disposed of, consistent with public interest, in any manner deemed appropriate by the city; and 

 

WHEREAS, any compensation resulting from the disposal of the personal property described herein shall be transferred to the general fund of the city.  

 

            Adopted by the Board of Council on July 6, 2009.
