AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND PROMULGATING A
NEW “POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL” AND “RULES AND STANDARDS OF CONDUCT,”
MARKED AS “EXHIBIT A”; AND REPEALING THE EXISTING “POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
MANUAL” AND “RULES AND STANDARDS OF CONDUCT,” BEING ORDINANCE O-25-2005,
ADOPTED ON
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF
That the “Policies and Procedures Manual” and “Rules and Standards of Conduct” which are attached hereto and marked as “Exhibit A” for the Fort Thomas Police Department be, and the same are hereby adopted, as the official “Policies and Procedures Manual” for the Police Department and each of its members.
That the
current “Policies and Procedures Manual” and “Rules and Standards of Conduct”

That the
City Administrative Officer and Chief of Police are hereby authorized to enact
temporary and interim regulations amending and updating the said “Policies and
Procedures Manual” and “Departmental Rules and Regulations” for the Fort Thomas
Police Department to conform with legislative changes,
court rulings and administrative requirements.
Any temporary and interim regulations shall be effective for a period
not to exceed ninety (90) days, at which time said regulations shall be
submitted to, and approved by, the City of Fort Thomas legislative body, with
the said “Policies and Procedures Manual” and “Departmental Rules and
Regulations” being amended with a process similar to its original enactment.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after the earliest
date provided by law following its adoption and publication as required by law.
