The Community Resource Officer is a dynamic position created by Chief Mike Daly of the Fort Thomas Police Department that encompasses the entire community. The Fort Thomas Police Department strives to reduce crime and violence by emphasizing cooperation, teamwork and collaboration. The Community Resource Officer recognize that maintaining public safety is not solely a law enforcement responsibility. City agencies and other entities such as General Services, Administration, local public health agencies, Social Services, Public and Private Schools, Fire Department and the Parks and Recreation Department will work as partners with the police to deal with the variety of problems which confront communities and particularly those involving quality of life, illegal drug activity and crime.
