The Community Resource
Officer is a dynamic position created by Chief Mike Daly of the
Fort Thomas Police Department that encompasses the entire community.
This community program was designed to include on-going events
and activities aimed at giving citizens control of their neighborhoods
through innovative partnerships between and among governmental
agencies; citizen groups; voluntary and religious organizations;
the business community and others.
The Fort Thomas Police Department
strives to reduce crime and violence by emphasizing cooperation,
teamwork and collaboration. The Community Resource Officer recognize
that maintaining public safety is not solely a law enforcement
responsibility. City agencies and other entities such as General
Services, Administration, local public health agencies, Social
Services, Public and Private Schools, Fire Department and the
Parks and Recreation Department will work as partners with the
police to deal with the variety of problems which confront communities
and particularly those involving quality of life, illegal drug
activity and crime.
To reach the goal of reducing crime and to enhance our neighborhoods'
quality of life, the Community Resource Officer will work with
personnel of the Fort Thomas Police Department and all stakeholders
involved in our community.
