P R O C L A M A T I O N

 

 

WHEREAS, we are gathered here on this occasion, as friends, family and neighbors of Joseph Patrick Baumer, Jr., to recognize and celebrate his attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout and to recognize the faithful and steady path taken as a member of Boy Scout Troop 70 to reach an outstanding achievement within the Scouting organization; and

 

WHEREAS, scouting, for both boys and girls, has been an integral part of our community as well as a positive influence for many years, and we note that the Boy Scouts of America are nearing their 100th anniversary year within the United States of America; and

 

WHEREAS, Fort Thomas has benefited not only by the dedication and support of troop leaders and parents such as Joe and Jill Baumer, but by the individual work projects of the Scouts as they earn their badges and as they select a project to reflect interests and skills toward reaching the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

 

WHEREAS, we commend Joey on his Eagle project, a Tree Trail on the property of St. Thomas, which is an example of the many contributions he has made to the community as a resident of Fort Thomas and through academic and sports achievements  during his high school years at Highlands High School; 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MARY H. BROWN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THAT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2008, BE SET AND DECLARED AS:

within the City, and hereby ask that all citizens honor him on this day.
