PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, the month of May has been designated as "Foster Parent Appreciation Month" in the State of Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Community Based Services' (DCBS) division of Protection and Permanency (P&P) is committed to keeping families together and safe; and

WHEREAS, currently there are 825 children in and out of home care in the Northern Bluegrass region of the State of Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, we currently have 193 active resource homes in the Northern Bluegrass region for foster care; and

WHEREAS, we recognize all foster parents and thank them for their loving care of the children in their homes.

NOW, THEREFORE, I MARY H. BROWN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY, do hereby proclaim that the month of May 2008, be declared as:

“FOSTER PARENT APPRECIATION MONTH"
