PROCLAMATION

 

WHEREAS,  we have gathered today on this occasion to honor and acknowledge the dedication and numerous professional achievements of Mr. Brad Kinkema, who has announced his resignation as Executive Director of the Campbell County YMCA after 4 years of service; and;

 

WHEREAS, we are joining his family, friends, and co-workers in telling him of our deep admiration for his accomplishments and our sincere appreciation for the personal contributions he has made to the community; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Kinkema has led the Campbell County YMCA in providing superior community service for personal fitness, the county’s largest child care organization, the Fort Thomas 4th of July parade, the Frostbite 5 and Firecracker 5000 road races, and a warm welcome to all regardless of financial status; and

 

WHEREAS, Brad Kinkema treats all people with respect and dignity, is a good model of Christian Principles and has been devoted to the YMCA family for over 22 years; and

 

WHEREAS, Brad Kinkema is married to Christina Kinkema (his greatest accomplishment) who has supported his work in the Y family for many years and is the father of Connor, Zoe and Logan; and

 

WHEREAS, Brad Kinkema is an elite Triathlete, Marathoner, Northern Ohio Hall of Fame Swimmer and President of the Campbell County Rotary; and

 

WHEREAS, Brad, Christina and family will be greatly missed.  The members of the Campbell County community would like to take this opportunity to wish him and his family much success and happiness in their new life in Martinsville, VA and an open invitation to return to Kentucky when their work is done.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, I MARY H. BROWN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY, do hereby proclaim that February 2, 2008, be declared as:

 

“BRAD KINKEMA DAY"

 

within the city of Fort Thomas and hereby ask that local citizens honor him and express best wishes and gratitude for all his years of hard work.
