RESOLUTION NO. R-1-2008
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT
THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY, SUPPORTING THE MIDWAY DISTRICT STREETSCAPE
PROJECT PER THE CITY’S 2008 APPLICATION UNDER THE TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Council, appointed a steering
committee in 2006 to develop an urban design and streetscape plan for the
Midway district of Fort Thomas; and
WHEREAS, a final streetscape master plan was developed by the
committee over 2006-07 with the assistance of professional engineering and
architectural consultants; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Council have reviewed and
support the urban design and streetscape plan, with staff also applying for
grants to secure additional funds; and
WHEREAS, the City is in need of funding assistance and support
from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in order to undertake the streetscape
plan.
NOW
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THIS 3rd
DAY OF MARCH 2008, BY THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY:
That
the Mayor and Board of Council hereby support the Midway District streetscape
project per the City’s 2008 application under the Transportation Enhancement
Program.
That
this Resolution shall be signed by the Mayor, attested by the City Clerk,
recorded,
and shall become effective upon its adoption.
