RESOLUTION NO. R-02-2011

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY ENDORSING THE TOWER PLAZA PLAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY’S APPLICATION UNDER THE CAMPBELL COUNTY COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE’S COLOR IN OUR COMMUNITIES GRANT PROGRAM.

 

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Council have officially reviewed the plaza plans for the area immediately west of the historic stone tower on S. Fort Thomas Avenue near the entrance to Tower Park in Fort Thomas, Kentucky; and

 

WHEREAS, these plans are a beautification, traffic control and public education effort; and

 

WHEREAS, these plans call for various hardscape and landscape improvements on city property and within city right-of-way; and

 

WHEREAS,    the Campbell County Cooperative Extension Service’s Color in Our Communities grant program provides funding assistance to plan and implement horticulture beautification and urban forestry initiatives which can assist with the undertaking of this valuable project.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THIS 7th DAY OF FEBRUARY 2010, BY THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY:

 

That the Mayor and Board of Council hereby endorse the Tower Plaza Plan per the City’s application under the Campbell County Cooperative Extension Service’s Color in our Communities grant program.

 

That this Resolution shall be signed, attested and shall become effective upon its adoption.
