RESOLUTION R-03-2010

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS, CAMPBELL COUNTY, KENTUCKY, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A FINANCING AGREEMENT WITH THE KENTUCKY LEAGUE OF CITIES (KLC) TO: FINANCE IMPROVEMENTS TO ROSSFORD PARK, CONSTRUCTION OF TOWER PARK AMPHITHEATER, SHELTERS AND RESTROOM, RESTORATION OF THE HISTORIC STONE WATER TOWER, AND PURCHASE OF A LIFE SQUAD; EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS WHICH ARE DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE KLC TO FACILITATE THE FINANCING AGREEMENT; AND ACT AS THE AUTHORIZED CORRESPONDENT FOR THE PROJECTS.

WHEREAS, the City of Fort Thomas has decided to finance the cost of the following improvements or acquisitions through the Kentucky League of Cities: improvements to Rossford Park, construction of an amphitheater, park shelters and restroom facility in Tower Park, restoration of the historic stone water tower, and purchase of a replacement life squad; and

WHEREAS, it is recognized that the Financing Agreement imposes certain financial obligations and responsibilities on the City.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED this 17^th day of May, 2010, by the City of Fort Thomas Board of Council, Campbell County, Kentucky, as follows:

That the Mayor is authorized to execute a financing agreement or agreements with the Kentucky League of Cities to finance improvements to Rossford Park, construction of an amphitheater, park shelters and restroom facility in Tower Park, restoration of the historic stone water tower, and purchase of a replacement life squad; to execute any documents necessary to facilitate the financing arrangement; and, to act as the authorized correspondent for the project or projects.

That this Resolution shall be signed by the mayor, attested to by the City Clerk, recorded and shall become effective upon its adoption by the Board of Council.
