RESOLUTION NO. R-5-2011

 

A Resolution of the Board of Council OF THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS approving THE “SECTION 8 COOPERATION AGREEMENT” BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF NEWPORT.

 

            WHEREAS, the City of Fort Thomas and the Housing Authority of Newport have a longstanding agreement by which the Housing Authority administers the federally subsidized Section 8 Housing Rental Programs within the City of Fort Thomas; and

 

            WHERAS, KRS 79.110 through KRS 79.170 provide a means whereby the political units within the same county may contract for joint government services; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Council has determined that the Agreement is economically beneficial to the citizens of the City of Fort Thomas.    

 

            NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Council of the City of Fort Thomas, Campbell County, Kentucky, that the “Section 8 Cooperation Agreement” attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference is hereby approved and that Mayor Mary H. Brown is authorized to execute same.
