RESOLUTION NO. R-8-2011

 

A Resolution of the Board of Council OF THE CITY OF FORT THOMAS SUPPORTING THE NORTHERN KENTUCKY CONSENSUS COMMITTEE’S 2012 LIST OF CAPITAL PROJECT PRIORITIES FOR THE EIGHT COUNTY nORTHERN KENTUCKY REGION.

 

            WHEREAS, the Northern Kentucky Consensus Committee is a group of over 70 appointed representatives from business, government, non-profit and other community organizations; and

 

WHEREAS, the Northern Kentucky Consensus Committee identifies and prioritizes important capital projects that address a clear community need and provide substantial regional benefits to more than one community in the eight county Northern Kentucky region; and

 

WHEREAS, the Northern Kentucky Consensus Committee has developed a list of priority projects with funding requests for the 2012 General Assembly, including the following:

 

·         Brent Spence Bridge Corridor

·         Northern Kentucky Convention Center Expansion

·         Replacement of Aging Water Lines

·         Urban Campus of Gateway Community & Technical College

·         Health Innovations Center/Renovation of Old Science Building–Northern KY University

·         Licking River Greenway

·         New Carrolton Campus of Jefferson Community & Technical College

·         Route 16 Taylor Mill Road Reconstruction

·         SPUI & RR Underpass at US 25 & KY 338

·         Mt. Zion Road (KLY 536) Reconstruction to 5 Lane Urban

 

            NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Council of the City of Fort Thomas, Campbell County, Kentucky, that it does support and endorse the Northern Kentucky Consensus Committee’s 2012 list of capital project priorities herein referenced and strongly encourage the Northern Kentucky Legislative Caucus to endeavor to fund these projects during the 2012 General Assembly.
